The children’s clothing retailer is migrating its legacy point-of-sale system to a cloud-based, omnichannel solution.
The retailer has tapped PredictSpring as a partner for the endeavor, which will also include improved clienteling capabilities and real-time order and inventory management. The company is aiming to boost omnichannel experience through these improvements and integrations, as well as make life easier for associates.
“Janie and Jack is a design house with every kid at its heart, and we are thrilled to continue meeting the needs of our customers through the integration of PredictSpring's Modern POS system,” said Mo Beig, Executive Vice President and CFO at Janie and Jack, adding that the new system will allow the company “to provide highly personalized, fast, and seamless omnichannel journeys to our valued customers.”

In fact, the company was able to integrate the solution within 18 weeks across 106 stores, bringing a number of changes, combining in-store and online shopping through omnichannel capabilities and applying a microservices-based API architecture to unify their CRM and backend systems. The company says these changes will enable associates to access comprehensive customer information, ensuring personalized experiences, while real-time order and inventory management enhancements are set to optimize reporting. The company also added built-out remote payment options for ship-from-store orders.
More and more integrations of this nature are taking place across the retail industry as companies channel efforts into enhancing both front-end and back-end operations. In just the last month alone, beauty retailer Sephora rolled out contactless payments via employee devices in select U.S. stores, while PacSun modernized its POS system with a view to delivering a more consistent experience across all channels by providing associates with a single platform across fulfillment functions, in-store selling, and engagement.
Jeff Streader, managing partner of Janie and Jack owners Go Global Retail added, “This move from a legacy application to a cloud-based omnichannel-focused solution is an important step in our overall digital transformation within our premium children’s brand and part of the Go Global Retail growth playbook.
