Passageway of the Ancients is an upcoming fantasy game developed by Passageway Games. Inspired by classic 1980s and 1990s cRPGs, the game is set to release for PC via Steam in early 2024.

The game takes place in the world of Aieryon, which is believed to be the last remaining magical planet in the galaxy. Players assume the role of a resident of the city of Ithgar, on a quest to uncover the truth behind their parents’ murder.

In Passageway of the Ancients, the player character has two personas. They have a hidden form known as Dragonkindt, as well as a public face and race that they adopt as a disguise, since the Dragonkindt are being persecuted. The game features a strategic real-time combat system, allowing players to engage in thrilling battles.

One unique aspect of the game is that players can level up both their Dragonkindt and public personas simultaneously. This opens up a range of gameplay options, enabling players to evolve their characters in different ways.

Passageway of the Ancients aims to capture the nostalgia of classic cRPGs while offering fresh gameplay mechanics and a unique fantasy world. With its planned release on Steam, players will be able to dive into the rich lore and immersive gameplay in early 2024.
